Session 1
I have been running 2d6 variations for the past five months, and they have proven to be exceptionally fun, and fantastically easy.
The premise is simple ...
You create a character, on the spot, for a genre that I designate or we collaboratively agree upon.
I manage all of the mechanics of the character on the back end. This can be explained further in person. But the idea is that you just play the character and roll the dice.
This is planned to be a one-shot session, but may grow into something regular depending on interest and availability.
Additionally, this format of game play could be "re-skinned" for genre-bending anthology style game play, or we can serialize or revisit a game if people are invested in their characters and the building narrative.
All gameplay is theater of the mind, and is generally created in the moment.
Google Meet link will be posted HERE 30 minutes prior to game time (7:30PM EST)

Sorry for the delay! All aboard that's coming aboard!

I know that this is an unconventional game concept, but I want to be clear, you can create *ANY CHARACTER YOU WANT*!!!
There are no levels. There are no restrictions.
Be prepared with the following things -
Character name
Physical description (including garb/armor/shield)
Main weapon (and offhand if applicable) or magical implement
Basic items you would carry every day (no 100lb adventurer's kits)
You can use DnDBeyond.com to aid in character inspiration, but there are no character sheets. Everything is 2d6 based, so that's all you'll need to play ... That and an imagination.
Please reply to this comment so I can get a proper headcount for tomorrow and I know y'all are up to speed.
If you have questions, please let me know!

I wanted to take a moment to encourage participants to create their characters without any inhibitions or restrictions in mind.
The type of game play that 2d6 allows for doesn't require the same level of "balancing" that D&D does, although you can take inspiration from DnDBeyond if you need some structure for character building.
Your characters (mundane or OP) will inform the world that we play in, so go buck wild.
If you have questions about the character you're building, feel free to ask, but if the question starts with "Can my character ..." the answer is "Yes".
